Local actor Edmund Chen returns for Shaping Hearts 2023! In this co-created piece, he was able to paint with watercolours, a medium that he is very familiar with. Edmund is accompanied by Christina, an artist who discovered mouth painting through a group of friends after her accident that caused a major spinal cord injury, leaving her paralysed from the chest down. As flora and fauna are Christina’s favourite subjects, they chose to paint a landscape together, with Edmund painting the background and Christina adding the fine details with her precise brushstrokes.
