Another painting in 02-Y23, Bernard’s second installment of My Robot Friends, Bernard creates Roe, the thinking robot.

When asked to add lights, Bernard decided to add a lightbulb on Roe’s head. This, coupled with Roe’s shocked expression, paints an amusing scene of a robot having a “Eureka!” moment. An industrial ambiance is created against a backdrop of pipes, gadgets and rusty textures. These elements converge, inviting viewers into the innocent and entertaining robotic world of Roe the thinking robot.
