Mountains Soaring on Crashing Waves

Mountains Soaring on Crashing Waves

Ridhwan’s Mountains Soaring on Crashing Waves captures the dynamic and untamed energies of the sky, earth, and sea. Through the use of unconventional tools, Ridhwan explores and expresses the essence of each element in nature.

The explosive power of crashing waves is conveyed through the use of a simple stick, scratched in wave-like motions. To portray the majesty of mountains, Ridhwan paints bold, skyward strokes with rough surfaces of corrugated cardboard, capturing the essence of strength in intense red. The gentle motions of soft, flowing clouds are formed by spreading paint in smooth strokes with the flat bottle cap.

Overall, the combination of unconventional tools and techniques creates an immersive artwork that encapsulates the raw essence of nature.
