The orchid on the artwork defines how delicate our senses are. The artist uses the expression of various human body parts to depict the interrelation and connection with one’s senses. It inspires us to listen to the alternate voices in our hearts when making decisions in life.

Chee Meng has been training and working at Arts@Metta since 2008 producing batik painting and pottery art pieces. He is now one of our resident artist in the arts studio. Diagnosed with intellectual disability, his employment at Arts@Metta enables him to lead an independent life and integrate into society. Chee Meng also enjoys planting and watching Korean dramas.
